In February 2024, Vertice EyeCare, in collaboration with Netcare UCT and Dr. Leandri Linde from Atlantic Eye Centre, successfully performed cataract removal surgeries for two patients.
These individuals had been on the waiting list at Groote Schuur Hospital but were transferred to Netcare to expedite their treatment due to long waiting times.
The surgeries took place on 14 February, marking a significant step towards restoring vision and improving the quality of life for these patients.
